Partial closure of Southern Expressway for line marking
Friday, 25 May 2018
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that there will be late night closures of northbound sections of the Southern Expressway next week to allow for line marking.
Works will be undertaken on the northbound carriageway on each of the nights below, between 10pm and 5am:
- Wednesday 30/5 – South Road to Beach Road
- Thursday 31/5 – Beach Road to Sherriffs Road
- Friday 1/6 – Sherriffs Road to Marion Road
- Sunday 3/6 – Sherriffs Road to Marion Road.
Southbound traffic will not be affected by these works.
Detours will apply and signage will be in place to alert motorists of the changed traffic conditions. Road users are requested to take extra care when workers are on site, and observe traffic signage and restrictions.
Advanced signage advising of detours will also be in place along the Expressway and corresponding on-ramps for vehicles approaching each section of closure or entering the Expressway near each section of works.
Thank you for your patience while these important works are undertaken.
