Notice to Mariners No 25 of 2022

HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – LOWER LAKES – MUNDOO CHANNEL – NEW BEACONS

Mariners are advised that all existing navigation beacons in the Mundoo Channel between the Coorong Channel and new beacon No. 14 have either been relocated or upgraded, and have been numbered.  All beacons have now been fitted with lights with a 2 nautical mile range. Positions of all beacons (in WGS84 coordinates) in this area are provided in the table below.

In addition the light on the beacon on Mundoo Island in position 35° 33’ 05.53” S, 138° 54’ 06.44” E, Fl W 7.5s, has been removed and will not be replaced.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
