Churchill Road, Ovingham Pocket Park
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport will create a Pocket Park near the new Torrens Road bridge, returning surplus land to the community as open green space. The pocket park will be located at Churchill Road in Ovingham.
Pocket Parks support a safer, connected, and aesthetically pleasing transport network that can enhance lifestyle and connectivity within the community. The Pocket Parks will create shared open space and provide a place to pause and connect.
Once the Pocket Park has been landscaped, it will be transferred to the City of Prospect to own and manage.
The Churchill Road Pocket Park has been designed to maximise the useable open space by re-shaping the site levels, which will allow for further enhancements to the open space in the future.

What's Next:
Between Monday, 31 July and Friday, 25 August 2023, we engaged with the local community to seek feedback so we could understand what is important to you. This information is helping us create the landscaping plan for the new pocket park.
Any feedback received beyond the scope of the concept design has been provided to the City of Prospect for their future consideration.
We will start to prepare the pocket park for landscaping starting next year. We expect that landscaping will finish in late 2024 when the pocket park will be transferred to the City of Prospect to own and undertake any further development at their discretion.
