Arthur Road and Victor Harbor Road junction upgrade

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is upgrading the junction of Arthur Road and Victor Harbor Road, Mount Compass. This $600,000 South Australian Government funded project will improve road safety and traffic efficiency.

The upgrade includes installation of a sheltered right turn lane on Victor Harbor Road for right turn movements into Arthur Road.

The current bus shelter will be temporarily relocated from the western side of Victor Harbor Road to School Road during construction.

Works are scheduled to commence in early April and are expected to be completed in mid-June, weather permitting.

During this period, access to Arthur Road at the junction with Victor Harbor Road will be completely restricted and signed detours via Tay Road, Slater Avenue and Arthur Road will be in place.

School Road will remain open.

To minimise traffic impacts, works will occur from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm.

Some vegetation removals will take place to improve line of sight for drivers.

Victor Harbor Road will remain open to traffic with a 25 km/h speed restriction in place during roadworks. Road users are asked to use extra caution when workers are on site.

DPTI will make every effort to minimise impacts and will ensure that access to businesses and properties is maintained throughout the works.

DPTI appreciates your co-operation and patience while these important works are undertaken.
