Investigation works - Wednesday 23 September to Friday 25 September

As part of the design process for the Ovingham Level Crossing Project, survey and site investigation works to identify the location and depth of utility services will be undertaken at various locations for three days, commencing Wednesday, 23 September 2020, weather permitting.

Hours of work:

  • Wednesday, 23 September 2020 to Friday, 25 September 2020.
  • Between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

Location of works:

  • Torrens Road adjacent to the rail corridor, Exeter Terrace and Devonport Terrace.

Speed and temporary lane restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works, with traffic management in place to advise motorists of changed traffic conditions. Please take care when workers are on site. Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.

Whilst there will be some temporary impacts at various locations for pedestrian and cyclists, access will however be maintained at all times, with traffic controllers onsite to assist. Public transport services will not be affected.

Investigation works (night works) - Friday 22 May

Survey and site investigation works to identify the location and depth of underground services will be undertaken in the rail corridor at Ovingham, Friday 22 May, for one night.

Investigation works - commencing 27 April for five weeks

Survey and site investigation works will be undertaken to determine the location and depth of underground services at various locations along Torrens Road for five weeks.

Pavement investigation - night works 31 March to 2 April

Pavement investigation works will be undertaken at various locations along Torrens Road and Churchill Road. The crossing is located near the fringe of the Adelaide CBD on Torrens Road at Ovingham.
