We are improving safety and accessibility along the rail network and will be installing an Active Pedestrian Crossing at the southern end of Clarence Park Railway Station.
View latest project update
What's Happening:
Works to install an Active Pedestrian Crossing at the southern end of Clarence Park Railway Station will start from Wednesday 26 February 2025. Please see fact sheet for information about Active Pedestrian Crossings.
Work during the day will start on Wednesday 26 February and continue until July 2025.
Night works are also required as some work cannot be safely done while trains are operating. Night works will occur between March and July 2025 and will generally be from Monday to Saturday.
We will plan our works to try to minimise the impact as much as possible and typically will either do day work or nightworks. We will work with the directly affected residents to understand their needs and minimise the impact as much as possible.
The construction of the new Active Pedestrian Crossing is expected to be completed in July 2025.
When:
From Wednesday 26 February until July 2025.
Hours of operation:
Monday to Saturday
Day Works: 7am - 5pm
Night Works: 9pm - 5am
What to expect:
The works will take place in and near the rail corridor between Parker Terrace and Canterbury Terrace, Clarence Park.
Night works
There will be some light spill and noise disruptions from time to time, but we'll do our best to keep the noise to a minimum.
Traffic impacts
From 26 February, Parker Terrace will be temporarily closed from Kelvin Avenue to the southern pedestrian crossing. There will also be intermittent road closures on Canterbury Terrace and Addison Road. We will provide advance notification, via VMS when these road closures are expected to occur. Please refer to the map overleaf for further details.
There will be changes to traffic conditions to keep everyone safe while works are underway. We urge everyone to follow traffic management directions. Pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to take care when travelling through the area.
Some property access on Parker Terrace and Canterbury Terrace may be temporarily impacted and if your access is affected, we will provide advance notice
