A Friday Note - 12 February 2016
Last week I met with the Premier to review my Performance Agreement which you received for feedback in November last year.
Paul Gelston, Julienne TePohe, Andrew McKeegan, Rebecca Timmings, Lynda Stephens and I got together over the past few days to discuss 2015 and plan for the future.
We want to acknowledge the work that had been completed across the department in 2015 and thank all our staff, each of you, for the positive achievements we have had to date.
If you have views on this let me know. Our department’s Strategic Plan 2016-2020 is now available to be viewed by the public on our website.
SUPPORTING DRIVING RETIREMENT PROJECT
Seniors Information Service received a Community Grant from our department to deliver a project to support patients, their families and carers in decision making about retiring from driving.
Julie Holmes, Jean Phillips and Susan Sharp (pictured with Frances Bedford MP) from our safety and policy area attended the project launch of a series of professional development workshops for local general practitioners, practice nurses and allied health professionals in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
The project aims to equip health professionals with resources and skills to connect people who need to consider driving retirement with information about rights and responsibilities to support them to make an informed decision.
Have a good weekend
