KEY FACTS:

315 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 324 during 2012.

71 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2013.

44 serious injuries were males and 27 were females.

43 were vehicle occupants, 12 were motorcycle riders, 9 were pedestrians and 7 were cyclists.

In MAY 2013, there were 30 serious injuries in the country and 41 in Adelaide.

Of the 56 serious injury crashes in MAY 2013, 31 involved a single vehicle and 25 involved more than one vehicle.
46 crashes involved a single serious injury and 10 involved multiple serious injuries.
