ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:
  • 756 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2015, compared with 711 during 2014.

·        62 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2015.

·        39 serious injuries were males and 23 were females.

·        41 were vehicle occupants, 12 were motorcycle riders, 7 were cyclists and 2 were pedestrians.

  • In DECEMBER 2015, there were 24 serious injuries in the country and 38 in Adelaide.

·        Of the 53 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2015, 22 involved a    single vehicle and 31 involved more than one vehicle    .

·        46 crashes involved a single serious injury and 7 involved multiple serious injuries.
