KEY FACTS:

612 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2015, compared with 578 during 2014.

62 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2015.

34 serious injuries were males and 28 were females.

45 were vehicle occupants, 10 were motorcycle riders, 4 were cyclists and 3 were pedestrians.

In OCTOBER 2015, there were 34 serious injuries in the country and 28 in Adelaide.

Of the 47 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2015, 27 involved a single vehicle and 20 involved more than one vehicle.
39 crashes involved a single serious injury and 8 involved multiple serious injuries.
