KEY FACTS:

197 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2018, compared with 220 during 2017.

59 people have been seriously injured in APRIL 2018.

43 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.

39 were vehicle occupants, 10 were motorcycle riders, 5 were cyclists and 5 were pedestrians.

In APRIL 2018, there were 33 serious injuries in the country and 26 in Adelaide.

Of the 50 serious injury crashes in APRIL 2018, 29 involved a single vehicle and 21 involved more than one vehicle.
47 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
