ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

389 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2018, compared with 445 during 2017.

59 people have been seriously injured in AUGUST 2018.

43 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.

36 were vehicle occupants, 12 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 1 was a cyclist.

In AUGUST 2018, there were 23 serious injuries in the country and 36 in Adelaide.

Of the 54 serious injury crashes in AUGUST 2018, 33 involved a single vehicle and 21 involved more than one vehicle.
51 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
