KEY FACTS:
  • 172 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 245 during 2016.


  • 35 people have been seriously injured in APRIL 2017.


  • 22 serious injuries were males and 13 were females.


  • 24 were vehicle occupants, 8 were motorcycle riders, 2 were pedestrians and 1 was a cyclist.


  • In APRIL 2017, there were 20 serious injuries in the country and 15 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 30 serious injury crashes in APRIL 2017, 16 involved a single vehicle and 14 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 28 crashes involved a single serious injury and 2 involved multiple serious injuries.
