ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

833 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2019, compared with 576 during 2018.

90 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2019.

56 serious injuries were males and 34 were females.

55 were vehicle occupants, 19 were motorcycle riders, 10 were bicycle or e-scooter riders and 6 were pedestrians.

In DECEMBER 2019, there were 32 serious injuries in the country and 58 in Adelaide.

Of the 80 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2019, 42 involved a single vehicle and 38 involved more than one vehicle.
73 crashes involved a single serious injury and 7 involved multiple serious injuries.
