KEY FACTS:

176 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 182 during 2012.

70 people have been seriously injured in MARCH 2013.

47 serious injuries were males and 23 were females.

42 were vehicle occupants, 14 were motorcycle riders, 9 were pedestrians and 5 were cyclists.

In MARCH 2013, there were 31 serious injuries in the country and 39 in Adelaide.

Of the 60 serious injury crashes in MARCH 2013, 37 involved a single vehicle and 23 involved more than one vehicle.
55 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
