ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

96 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 118 during 2012.

45 people have been seriously injured in FEBRUARY 2013.

27 serious injuries were males and 18 were females.

23 were vehicle occupants, 8 were motorcycle riders, 8 were pedestrians and 6 were cyclists.

In FEBRUARY 2013, there were 17 serious injuries in the country and 28 in Adelaide.

Of the 40 serious injury crashes in FEBRUARY 2013, 21 involved a single vehicle and 19 involved more than one vehicle.
36 crashes involved a single serious injury and 4 involved multiple serious injuries.
