KEY FACTS:
  • 519 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2016, compared with 560 during 2015.


  • 50 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2016.


  • 27 serious injuries were males and 23 were females.


  • 32 were vehicle occupants, 9 were motorcycle riders, 7 were pedestrians and 2 were cyclists.


  • In SEPTEMBER 2016, there were 21 serious injuries in the country and 29 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 42 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2016, 28 involved a single vehicle and 14 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 36 crashes involved a single serious injury and 6 involved multiple serious injuries.
