KEY FACTS:
  • 402 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 531 during 2016.


  • 40 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2017.


  • 27 serious injuries were males and 13 were females.


  • 27 were vehicle occupants, 8 were motorcycle riders, 3 were cyclists and 2 were pedestrians.


  • In SEPTEMBER 2017, there were 18 serious injuries in the country and 22 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 37 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2017, 20 involved a single vehicle and 17 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 34 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
