KEY FACTS:

469 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2016, compared with 503 during 2015.

46 people have been seriously injured in AUGUST 2016.

30 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.

32 were vehicle occupants, 6 were motorcycle riders, 5 were cyclists and 3 were pedestrians.

In AUGUST 2016, there were 22 serious injuries in the country and 24 in Adelaide.

Of the 34 serious injury crashes in AUGUST 2016, 19 involved a single vehicle and 15 involved more than one vehicle.
30 crashes involved a single serious injury and 4 involved multiple serious injuries.
