ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

519 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2014, compared with 568 during 2013.

38 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2014.

24 serious injuries were males and 14 were females.

27 were vehicle occupants, 7 were motorcycle riders, 3 were cyclists and 1 was a pedestrian.

In SEPTEMBER 2014, there were 20 serious injuries in the country and 18 in Adelaide.

Of the 28 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2014, 17 involved a single vehicle and 11 involved more than one vehicle.
22 crashes involved a single serious injury and 6 involved multiple serious injuries.
