ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

491 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2020, compared with 583 during 2019.

51 people have been seriously injured in SEPTEMBER 2020.

40 serious injuries were males and 11 were females.

23 were vehicle occupants, 19 were motorcycle riders, 5 were pedestrians and 4 were bicycle or e-scooter riders.

In SEPTEMBER 2020, there were 18 serious injuries in the country and 33 in Adelaide.

Of the 47 serious injury crashes in SEPTEMBER 2020, 24 involved a single vehicle and 23 involved more than one vehicle.
44 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
