KEY FACTS:

362 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 478 during 2016.

38 people have been seriously injured in AUGUST 2017.

26 serious injuries were males and 12 were females.

25 were vehicle occupants, 9 were motorcycle riders and 4 were pedestrians.

In AUGUST 2017, there were 12 serious injuries in the country and 26 in Adelaide.

Of the 31 serious injury crashes in AUGUST 2017, 15 involved a single vehicle and 16 involved more than one vehicle.
29 crashes involved a single serious injury and 2 involved multiple serious injuries.
