KEY FACTS:

406 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2014, compared with 449 during 2013.

45 people have been seriously injured in JULY 2014.

30 serious injuries were males and 15 were females.

23 were vehicle occupants, 9 were motorcycle riders, 7 were pedestrians and 6 were cyclists.

In JULY 2014, there were 21 serious injuries in the country and 24 in Adelaide.

Of the 37 serious injury crashes in JULY 2014, 27 involved a single vehicle and 10 involved more than one vehicle.
34 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
