KEY FACTS:

610 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2013, compared with 625 during 2012.

55 people have been seriously injured in OCTOBER 2013.

37 serious injuries were males and 18 were females.

32 were vehicle occupants, 13 were motorcycle riders, 6 were pedestrians and 4 were cyclists.

In OCTOBER 2013, there were 18 serious injuries in the country and 37 in Adelaide.

Of the 49 serious injury crashes in OCTOBER 2013, 24 involved a single vehicle and 25 involved more than one vehicle.
46 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
