Port River Bridge repairs complete
Motorists are advised that repair work to the Port River Bridge (Diver Derrick Bridge) has been completed.
Work has been undertaken for several months to upgrade the support structure under the bridge’s finger joint.
Following the completion of works, the central median has been reinstated to remove the contra flow traffic arrangements which were in place during the repair works.
Traffic arrangements have returned to normal.
Emergency services, marine authorities and freight industry representatives have been notified.
The department thanks motorists for their patience and understanding during the works and for compliance with the lower speed limits necessary to ensure the safety of workers and road users.
