Reminder to recreational fishers - South Australian fishing rules have changed

23 Dec 2016

Recreational fishers heading out this holiday season are reminded to familiarise themselves with the recent changes to fishing rules.

On 1 December 2016, changes to fishing rules for 26 different marine and freshwater species came into effect in South Australia.

The new rules follow a State Government review of recreational fishing in South Australia, which included a review of the current size, bag and boat limits and management arrangements for some of the state’s most popular species.

Information on the new fishing limits is available on the PIRSA website and in the new Recreational Fishing limits brochure.
