Big cruise liners expected

06 Mar 2013

Some of the world’s largest cruise liners will continue to visit South Australia this season.

In March the Radiance of the Seas and the Queen Mary 2 are expected to return for a second visit.

It will be the fifth season in a row that the Queen Mary 2 has visited this city.

Earlier in the month the Voyager of the Seas again docked at Outer Harbor.

The 2012-13 cruise season will see 18 cruise ships visit ports across the state, bringing in about 50,000 passengers and crew.

The South Australian Government’s cruise ship target is for 43 ships to visit South Australia each year – generating an estimated $17 million in direct passenger expenditure annually – by 2020.
