River Murray - Locks restrictions at Berri and Goolwa

Lock 4 at Bookpurnong near Berri will be closed to navigation for 10 to 12 weeks from 5 May 2014 while SA Water undertakes extensive essential maintenance on the lock chamber.

Closer to the coast, Goolwa Barrage Lock will be closed to navigation for approximately four weeks  from 19 May 2014 while SA Water undertakes extensive essential maintenance on the lock chamber.

Vessels will be unable to navigate through these locks during this period.  Mariners are also advised to remain outside the 150 metres from structure exclusion zone.

Downstream of Goolwa, boat users may still launch their boats directly into the Coorong, at the Beacon 19 boat ramp, or into the Mundoo Channel.
