The VACSWIM SA program will receive more funding from the State Government as its popularity continues to grow.
The program teaches young people aged 5 to18 how to survive in the water as well as emergency procedures and basic swimming strokes.
VACSWIM SA runs each January throughout South Australia and this year was staged in about 130 regional and metropolitan locations with 13,413 participants.
The State Government will increase its annual contribution for the program from $533,000 to $580,000 in 2014.
The program is delivered on behalf of the Government by the YMCA. Online and postal enrolments are open from 1 August to 28 September.
In person enrolments can be lodged at VACSWIM SA Head Office, 338 Tapleys Hill Road, Seaton from 30 November to 7 December between 10am and midday.
