Notice to Mariners No. 2 of 2021 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – SPENCER GULF – PORT AUGUSTA – EXCLUSION ZONE AROUND BRIDGES
Mariners are advised that an exclusion zone has been established around the bridges at Port Augusta for the construction of the new Joy Baluch Bridge. The exclusion zone is marked with floating buoy lines and extends approximately 20 metres north of the Great Western Bridge to approximately 70 metres south of the existing Joy Baluch Bridge.
Mariners, swimmers, bathers and all other aquatic users are prohibited from entering the exclusion zone.
The exclusion zone will be in operation until the bridge works are completed in late 2022, weather permitting.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
