Notice to Mariners No. 34 of 2020 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT – GLENELG – RESEARCH BUOY DEPLOYED
Mariners are advised that a two metre square floating research structure will be located on the new shellfish reef at Glenelg in approximate position 34° 58’ 22.20” S, 138° 29’ 54.24” E.
The structure has a 1.2m pole painted yellow and a yellow flashing light Fl Y 5s, range 1 nautical mile.
The research buoy will be deployed for approximately 3 years.
Mooring to this structure is prohibited and mariners should avoid anchoring in this area.
