Works ramp up on the Northern Connector

10 April 2019
A traffic switch on Port Wakefield Road will be in place from 5am on Monday, 15 April for construction works on the Northern Connector Project.
Northbound traffic on Port Wakefield Road, between Calvengrove and Old Port Wakefield Roads, Waterloo Corner, will be switched to the recently removed median and the southbound lanes.
The traffic switch will allow for the increasing works program to complete the construction of the Northern Interchange, which will connect the new Northern Connector motorway with the Northern Expressway and Port Wakefield Road.
Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times, with signage in place to alert motorists to the changed conditions.
In addition, a new Northern Expressway temporary on-ramp will be opened to maintain access for northbound traffic travelling from Port Wakefield Road to the Northern Expressway, with signage on Port Wakefield Road to guide motorists.
