Flinders Link moving ahead

Friday, 11 October 2019

A significant milestone has been reached on the Flinders Link Project with the completion of the first pier for the elevated rail bridge. There are a total of nine piers as part of the project which will support the elevated rail bridge over Sturt Road, Laffers Triangle and Main South Road.

Check out our progress photos showing the construction of the first completed headstock. More than 56m3 of concrete was used to construct the headstock which sits at the top of the pier.

The Flinders Link Project includes construction of a new Flinders Station as well as an integrated shared pedestrian/cycle path adjacent to the rail line from the new ramp located at the corner of Sturt Road and Birch Crescent to the new Flinders Station.
