Notice to Mariners No. 70 of 2023 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT – METROPOLITAN COAST – RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED

Mariners are advised that research equipment is being deployed at 3 locations approximately 600 m offshore along the Metro Coast of Adelaide. Equipment will be deployed from 11 December 2023 and is due to be removed February 2024.

1. Semaphore North      34 49’ 44.51” S          138 28’ 30.94” E
2. Grange South            34 54’ 44.67” S          138 29’ 3.78” E
3. Brighton                      35 0’ 8.78” S              138 30’ 14.44” E

Structures are fitted with a mid-water column float sitting approximately 1 m from the seafloor.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
