UPDATE: A 1.7km stretch of Kingston Road, north of the junction with Herriot Road to the junction with Sturt Highway, will reopen tomorrow morning, Saturday, 24 December to help residents maintain easier access to their properties.
Additional signage will also be installed at the junction of Sturt Highway and Kingston Road to direct road users.

With River Murray water levels continuing to rise, Kingston Road at Moorook will be closed to all vehicles from 7am tomorrow morning (Thursday 22 December).
The Department has been regularly monitoring Kingston Road and managing it closely, allowing the road to be kept open longer than originally anticipated.
However, this road now needs to be closed to all vehicles for the safety of road users as water encroaches on the road and to allow the District Council of Loxton and Waikerie to construct a levee bank.
From 7am tomorrow morning (Thursday, 22 December), light vehicles will need to detour via Drogemuller Road and Heinrich Road to and from the Sturt Highway, however, as these are unsealed roads - road users are urged to take extra care and always drive to the conditions.
Signage at key locations will advise road users of this detour, with speed restrictions in place to safely manage the expected increase in traffic.
Heavy vehicles are encouraged to detour via Stott Highway and Hunter Road, to return to the Sturt Highway near Blanchetown.
Taylorville Road
A section of Taylorville Road, adjacent Ross Lagoon and north of the Waikerie ferry, is still at risk of closure due rising water levels and may need to be closed within the next week.
A detour via Goyder Highway and Devlins Pound Road will be in place to enable the Waikerie ferry to remain operational for light vehicles.
Staff are continuing to undertake regular assessments of these and other low-lying roads in the region and we will continue to monitor current and predicted flood levels.
