More public transport options for a day at the Show

Tuesday, 30 August 2022

Showgoers are encouraged to make public transport their first ride of the day, with dedicated shuttles and numerous bus, train and tram options making it easy and affordable to get to this year’s Royal Adelaide Show (3-11 September).

South Australian Seniors card members are reminded that they can enjoy free travel every day on all Adelaide Metro services, including to this year’s Royal Adelaide Show. Children under five can also travel for free on public transport.

Many public transport options will be available to make it easy to get to this year’s Show:

  • Show shuttle buses (route 21W) will run every 20 minutes from 8am during the Show, looping between Stop V1 Currie Street and Goodwood Road Bus Interchange at the Showground. The last shuttle service leaves the Showground at 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 10:45pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • A special O-Bahn Show express bus will also operate every day from Tea Tree Plaza Interchange via the O-Bahn, picking up at Paradise and Klemzig then travelling direct to the Showground.
  • Many buses that usually operate express or with limited stops will service stops around the Showground during the Royal Show.
  • For tram and train commuters, the Goodwood tram stop is located within close walking distance, while Belair, Flinders and Seaford line trains to Adelaide Showground Railway Station offer easy access to the Showground.

With over 30 Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram stops within walking distance of the Adelaide Showground, including a dedicated bus interchange and railway station, there are plenty of services available for everyone to enjoy a safe day out.

Passengers are encouraged to visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au to check their timetable in real time and plan their trip with Adelaide Metro’s journey planner.

Public transport passengers are also reminded to continue to wear a face mask while on-board or at (or moving through) stations. Please social distance wherever possible and do not travel if you are unwell.
