• Marine safety, including policy development; licensing; compliance; investigations; accreditation;
  
• Commercial marine services -emergency response; navigation; qualifications; commercial vessel survey;

Transport Services Division:

• Marine facilities - maintenance of departmental marine assets including navigational aids; SA Boating Facilities Advisory Committee;
  
• Departmental land tenure issues;
  
• Environmental management systems;

Policy and Planning Division:

• Freight logistics policy advice and projects;
  
• Commercial ports and shipping policy advice;
  
• Marine transport policy advice;
  
• Administration of legislation and support for inter-governmental relations;

Office of Major Projects and Infrastructure:

• Identification of strategic infrastructure priorities for South Australia,
  
• Coordination of infrastructure planning and development across government
  
• Facilitation of the timely delivery of key projects that support the economic social and environmental development of the State.
