Do you have experience in community engagement, communications, marketing or media? The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is looking to establish a pool of motivated individuals who have analytical and research skills, the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively in all mediums and prioritise across multiple projects.

We are looking for suitable candidates with relevant demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Media including, undertaking and/or coordinating media plans and responses, publicity, media liaison, editorial, research, and analysis, including liaison with Ministerial Offices.
  • Communications, including strategic communication and account management services to business areas, planning and implementing communications across a wide range of projects and programs, and proactively seeking opportunities to improve and enhance the department’s communications.
  • Community engagement, including development and implementation of consultation and community and business engagement processes (with political awareness), for a wide range of departmental projects and programs.

Special Conditions: This is a pool open for 12 months with opportunities for up to 12 months duration. Opportunities for employment will be offered at the ASO3, ASO4, ASO5 and ASO6 classification level depending on the organisational needs that arise. Opportunities may be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. Sport Program and Volunteer Coordinator

The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is a Division within the Office for Recreation and Sports and is charged with specific responsibilities for the identification, development and support of athletes with the potential to perform at highest national and international levels in sport. The Sports Program & Volunteer Coordinator is accountable to the High Performance Manager, Operations. The focus of this role is to provide operational support to SASI sports programs and staff and to coordinate all SASI volunteers. This role will also provide administration assistance and support to SASI staff (including the management team) and support programs and be the first point of contact to clients and stakeholders. This position involves significant interaction with Coaches, Volunteers, Athletes and SASI staff.

Special Conditions: Some work outside of normal office hours will be required. A current SA drivers licence and willingness to drive is essential. This role has been classified as a position of trust and as a prescribed position under the Children's Protection Act 1993. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history / record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications: A Degree in Education or Sports Management will be highly regarded. Senior First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Construction Engineer

Location: Port Augusta

This role is accountable to the Team Leader, Rural Construction and Outback Roads for the delivery of construction projects and maintenance programs across northern areas of South Australia under limited direction. The successful incumbent shall be willing to be trained in the on-sealed roads condition reporting system and agree to participate in the on call roster (weekends and after hours at Port Augusta) for road condition reporting. Regular travel to remote worksites across the northern areas of South Australia will be required.
