The department is seeking to appoint a property professional to assist in managing a portfolio of the South Australian Government's leased and owned commercial accommodation across the State. The role provides high level analysis, leasing information and advice to assist in the development of property programs and strategies for government agencies. The delivery of timely and effective customer service, attention to detail and the ability to provide cost effective property solutions is vital to the role. The capability to achieve outstanding service delivery, assist in driving strategic outcomes and contribute to economic development and job creation and promote a culture of "one Government" are integral to the role.

Essential Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business or a relevant discipline is desired.

Some work outside normal hours and some intra and interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required. A current drivers licence is essential.

Maintenance and Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Maintenance and Quality Assurance Coordinator organises and undertakes the efficient and effective delivery of the annual Programmed Maintenance Program schedule for the Facilities Services section in both metropolitan and regional South Australia. The role analyses maintenance requirements, engages contracted service providers, monitors service delivery and ensures breakdown and preventative services meet agreed service levels and response times. With regard to quality assurance, the role reviews, audits and enhances programmed maintenance processes; prepares, compiles and monitors programmed maintenance budgets and delivers high quality reports, information and advice which informs decision making and supports a client focussed service. The ability to negotiate in dispute situations, liaise effectively with service providers, be attentive to detail and coordinate work in a timely manner are essential to the role.

Operations Manager (Facilities Management)

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to appoint a strategically minded, innovative individual to the key role of Operations Manager. The role is responsible for the management, administration, audit and standardisation of the services of the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangements (AGFMA) to deliver a responsive, value for money, quality facilities management services for all government agencies. The development, implementation and evaluation of strategic planning, risk management and service coordination to achieve AGFMA objectives are integral to the role. The successful applicant will have an awareness of government procurement processes, strong management, people and team building skills and have experience with the implementation of change management processes. While not essential, qualifications in facility management, business, law, contract law, building disciplines and/or procurement will be well regarded.

Works Delivery Coordinator

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to appoint experienced and motivated individuals to the roles of Works Delivery Coordinator. The roles coordinate and manage large project and works programs and associated contractor, project teams and risks in the development and provision of total facilities management services across multiple government agencies in accordance with the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangements (AGFMA). The roles coordinate technical and procedural matters in order to deliver expert building advice and ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, government policy and relevant legislation. The ability to review the business for efficiency and effectiveness of processes and the possession of sound project management, procurement and administration skills are required. While a trade qualification is not essential, an awareness of the roles trades undertake will be well regarded.

Solution Architect

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is seeking to appoint an individual with a sound working knowledge of a broad range of technologies and who has the ability to provide technical leadership. The Solution Architect role is located within the Business Solutions Team and provides design, technical advice, development and support services for the departments business applications developed using Oracle Forms and Reports, Microsoft development platforms, Java and other 3rd Party Products. The successful applicant will provide technical leadership in the co-ordination of design activities, management and application of enterprise design policies and standards, maintenance of a balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements in complex IT solutions. Future directions for applications, which may include Cloud, SOA, DevOps, and Design Patterns, will be determined by input from the Enterprise Architect supported by the Solutions Architects.
