Assurance Coordinator

The Assurance Coordinator is responsible for: maintaining elements, policies and procedures in order to ensure a standard approach to delivering the operational capability and meet the related Rail Accreditation and WorkCover requirements; day to day administration of the change and continuous improvement management of Public Transport Services (PTS) Safety Management Systems; ensuring quality, integrity and effectiveness of all elements and supporting documentation; coordinating the delivery of risk, safety and governance audits and administrative functions, in accordance with the Rail Safety Act (2007), WorkCover standards, and other relevant regulations and legislative requirements; managing staff reporting to the position; promoting policies, elements, procedures and related system requirements throughout PTS and review the effectiveness of these processes; coordinating and monitoring document and data control processes, and contributing to associated policy, guideline, procedure and training development processes; managing the identification, analysis and development of annual prioritised training recommendations, in consultation with relevant Departments; and conducting collaborative liaison and delivering timely and accurate advice.

Investigations Officer

We are currently seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to fill the above vacancy located at our Grenfell Street office.

The Investigations Officer is responsible for undertaking state-wide investigations relating to compliance with driver licensing legislation and associated Acts and providing expert advice and specialist contribution on a range of issues associated with compliance, enforcement and investigation, including proposed policy/legislative changes.

Special Conditions
This role has been classified as a position of trust.  The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history/record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.  Some work outside normal hours and inter/intrastate travel involving overnight absences may be required.  Attendance may be required on days other than Public Holidays over the Christmas/New Year period.  The incumbent is required to enter into a performance agreement for the achievement of specified outcomes.  A current Driver’s Licence is required.

To support DPTI during this period opportunities exist for highly motivated and experienced human resource practitioners, who are committed to the principles of continuous improvement, for the coordination and provision of expert human resource advisory and consultancy services to the Department.  
 
Duties to be undertaken include coordinating and providing operational leadership, management and support to HR team members to ensure the provision of customer focused and responsive HR services across the Department and influencing the direction of HR management policy, practices and processes.

The Department is seeking to establish a pool of experienced HR consultants to provide expert consultancy services across the Department on a range of complex issues. The pool will operate for a period up to 31 May 2012 and successful candidates will be eligible for employment opportunities of up to 12 months duration. Duties to be undertaken include the provision of expert advisory and consultancy services to the Department on a range of human resource management issues and support services and overall provision of leadership to the continuous improvement of HR related strategies and processes which contribute to the achievement of the Department’s organisational goals and objectives within an overall Government framework.
