KEY FACTS:
  • 300 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2016, compared with 317 during 2015.

  • 64 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2016.

  • 32 serious injuries were males and 32 were females.

  • 49 were vehicle occupants, 7 were motorcycle riders, 6 were cyclists and 2 were pedestrians.

  • In MAY 2016, there were 31 serious injuries in the country and 33 in Adelaide.

  • Of the 53 serious injury crashes in MAY 2016, 26 involved a single vehicle and 27 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 47 crashes involved a single serious injury and 6 involved multiple serious injuries.
